Mustard & Moxie Honored By UCLA
Mustard & Moxie was honored to be included among the recipients of the UCLA Alumni Association’s 2024 Bruin Business 100 Awards. The Bruin Business 100 honors 100 alumni-founded businesses and recognizes the outstanding achievements of Bruin entrepreneurs.
“The Alumni Association is dedicated to paying homage to the sheer brilliance, unwavering talent and limitless innovation of 100 exceptional alumni business owners, founders and visionaries.” – UCLA Alumni Association
Mustard & Moxie was founded in 2020 by Anna Boudinot, who was earning her MBA at UCLA Anderson at the time. Raina Clarke, who has a BA in philosophy from UCLA, came onboard later as Director of Marketing.
In addition to being recognized alongside other outstanding businesses, the award had additional poignancy for Boudinot. “Mustard & Moxie would not exist if it weren’t for the generosity of the UCLA community,” she explained. “As I was launching the business I had an incredible support system around me. I consulted experts in entrepreneurship, law, finance, and marketing: my classmates, professors, mentor, and people in the alumni network who replied to my emails even though I was a stranger. Without their guidance I could not have made it through the pandemic with my business intact.”
Four years later, Mustard & Moxie is paying it forward with a commitment to helping others. Winners were selected based in part on their commitment to the “True Bruin Values” of respect, accountability, integrity, service and excellence. Given Mustard & Moxie’s work in the nonprofit sector, they were a strong candidate. The agency works with community-based organizations across the U.S., helping nonprofit leaders execute strategic growth plans that center the voices of the marginalized communities they serve.
